Tromsø's own Per Martinsen AKA Mental Overdrive is one of the artists hand-picked by The Cure's Robert Smith to remix a song from their album "Songs of a lost world" from last year.

The new interpretations - 24 in total - will be released under the name "Mixes of a lost world" on June 13th, and Backbeat records have been chosen as one of 24 exclusive record stores to host a special listening party on May 12th.

Here, you will get a sneak preview of a special "acetate" record including snippets of all 24 remixes, a full month before release.

The acetate will then be returned to The Cure's team, who will put it up on auction through eBay, where all proceeds will go to WAR CHILD UK.
