Advents-DJ Jon-Are spiller singler fra 50- og 60-tallet og eventuelt senere. Og så forteller han artige historier fra vinylens uuttømmelige verden.

Dette er Tromsø-bandet som har spilt støvete amerikansk gitarrock siden tidlig på nittitallet under forskjellige navn og besetninger.

Navnet har de fra vokalist og gitarist Truls Verlo. Og Vintage fra den ganske så vellagrede 60- og 70talls-gitarlyden, som tildels blir tostemt med bidrag fra gitarist Jens Bjørnar Jensen.

Legg til den meget tilstedeværende tromme & bass-duo Tom Steinberg og Erling Bjørklund, og du får et levende band i god vintage tradisjon.

Som ekstra bonus kompletterer denne gangen Tore Nedgård (keyboard) og Amanda Antonsen (sax) lydbildet. Dermed legges klassisk Hammond og Wurlizerpiano, samt drøy tenorsax inn i lydbildet.

På albumet «Verlos Vintage» leveres åtte av ti låter på morsmålet, - egne låter med tildels svært så lokal odør.

Denne kvelden skal vi gå tilbake til starten, og få en gjennomgang av de aller første "Tromsø-techno"-utgivelsene som kom på små europeiske selskap i midten og slutten av 80-tallet. Det blir musikalske godbiter fra primært første og andre generasjon, dvs Bleep, Positive, Mental Overdrive, YBU, Aedena Cycle, Ismistik, Open Skies og mere til. Vidar Hanssen har børstet støv av gamle vinyl-plater fra de gode gamle dager, og øser av sin kunnskap i form av små anekdoter og bakgrunnsinfo. Sånn ca som et live radio-program. 

This evening, we will go back to the beginning and review the very first “Tromsø techno” releases that came out on small European labels in the mid- and late 1980s. There will be musical treats from primarily the first and second generations, i.e. Bleep, Positive, Mental Overdrive, YBU, Aedena Cycle, Ismistik, Open Skies, and more. Vidar Hanssen has dusted off old vinyl records from the good old days and will share his knowledge in the form of anecdotes and background information. It's kind of like a live radio program.

Ideofon is a group of music nerds from Tromsø who put their own spin on rock and indie. With big, soaring soundscapes and intimate lyrics, they deliver a raw, unique live experience.

They place a strong focus on dynamic music; quiet ballads can suddenly explode into big orchestral crashes, and experimental sounds quickly develop into groovy, catchy choruses.

They released their debut album Finder's Keep in the fall of 2024 and are now well underway with their second album. This is a band that suddenly takes their sound in exciting and unexpected directions, so it's important to keep up and see them live when you have the chance!

Seinere på kvelden spiller han på Bastard Bar i Tromsø. 
Fredrick er kjent langt utover musikkmiljøet i Telemark for sin gode formidlingsevne og karakteristiske vokal gjennom bandet Akkerhaugen Raid.

Taiwanese jazz singer and composer Wen-Hui Tsai will present her original compositions, share the essence of Taiwanese culture, and the inspirations she gained during her time in Tromsø, Norway. The event will feature a variety of formats, including performances, singing, music playback, and interactive discussions. Join us to experience the beautiful moments where music and life intertwine.

Minikonsert med den mongolsk-italienske duoen Strawman & Celine på Backbeat. Duoen skal promotere sin live-konsert på FINT samme kveld.

In May 2022 they started their musical journey traveling around Europe, busking and performing in small venues and festivals. To date, the band in only two years has played approximately 300 busking performances in more than ten countries and more than 80 original music shows in venues and festivals all over Europe. In 2023 they were guests of the Italian singer NEK, in the program "From the Road to the Stage" performing for the first time on national TV.

On summer 2023 they released their debut EP "De Da Do Le Oh!". The EP reached more than 60k streams on Spotify and sold over 400 physical copies. In January 2024 the band performed in Asia for the first time at Music Lane Okinawa festival. In Summer of 2024 the duo performed in international music festivals including Playtime (Mongolia), Art & Life (Czech Republic), Gwangju Busking World-Cup Festival (Korea) and China Chic Festival (China). In January 2025 the duo will be touring for the first time in Japan and the following month they will embark their journey to Norway performing in Tromsø and discovering the “Northern Lights”.

Their performances encapsulate vocals, harmonies, catchy violin riffs, intimate interweaving of guitar and guitalele played in fingerpicking style. Percussive rhythmic elements played with Drumpad, Kick Drums/Stomp-Box and tambourine.

Orbital Hotel Band makes instrumental music that combines elements of hard rock, spacy rock, fuzz rock and electro-pop rock with distorted and clean electric guitars, acoustic guitars, groovy bass, heavy drums and acoustic percussion.

The music of Orbital Hotel can be found online on all platforms such as Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, etc. The discography includes 12 albums of rock music with 180 melodies and 14 albums of quiet music with over 140 songs.
